A must do hotel in the Anthem area because of the staff! We have stayed here several times when in town visiting family. As with each prior stay, this one did not disappoint. While the facility itself could use a “refresh” the staff make up for anything lacking in the physical appearance of the hotel. Staying with Jim and Sommer at the front desk - both are amazing stewards of the hotel and should be kept at all costs! They try,y know what the words “customer service” mean. Next up is Pam who covers the breakfast area on Sunday and Monday mornings - she was hired back and should also be kept at all costs! She is personable, friendly, and truly strives to make customers happy. And finally we must mention Lindsay, who handled our housekeeping. She was such a pleasant and efficient person - she was friendly if we were in the room and went out of her way to give us whatever we needed for our extended stay. It is the STAFF here that keep us coming back time after time. Thank you for taking care of us and our extended family members on this visit which was under less than happy circumstances.

The hot tub was not functional. The pool was closed until a cleaning could be arranged/scheduled. Both of the treadmills in the fitness center needed to be repaired with an undetermined date of service. The ice machine was out of order. The stairwell on our end of the building was closed for the rails to be painted, but they weren't! There were notices posted all over the building about what was "not allowed". And to top all that off the manager was unwelcoming and unfriendly to guests and spoke very curtly to her staff. Overall the place was poorly run and I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

My son and I had a really nice stay here. The staff was very friendly; Jim checked me out of my room and he was a hoot! The hotel is clean and the room was nice, definitely bigger than I expected. I had a good night's sleep, thanks to the comfy bed, and the breakfast was your hotel standard, but the employees were on it and kept it stocked with good stuff. The only problems I had were with the bathroom. The door was like the barn door style and there was no fan, but those things are not deal breakers and I will definitely stay here again.

We checked in late at night around midnight after searching for 3 hours for a clean hotel. We got there and the lady working at the front desk was very rude. The elevator was very dirty, carpet in hallways were nasty, and the rooms had dead bugs and hair on the floor. The bathroom smelled horrible. There was people out in the hallway talking and being quite loud. We went to check out almost as soon as we got there. I would advise not to stay. There was also a very strong urine smell. Paper towels were spread all across the lobby bathroom floor, and ice machines were filthy. Gives a bad name for Hampton, we have never stayed in one this bad. We unfortunately booked though third-party, so we lost out on our money , although we were not in the room for more than 5 minutes.

Great rooms and hot breakfast. Easy enough to get to. Parking is good enough. One of the few hotels we aren't allergic to the shampoo and soap. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Helped out when our reservation didn't go through online. Only real complaint is the lack of microwave in the room.

We come to AZ regularly as we have family nearby in an elderly living facility. What keeps us coming back to this particular Hampton Inn is the staff 100%. First up is Jim, a mainstay at this Hampton and the single biggest reason we return. From ensuring we have everything we need to remembering our names and engaging us in friendly conversations, Jim is an awesome representative of the hotel. Next up are Alexis and Summer, both of whom were new to us on this trip. However, each one also embodied customer service and a “get it done” attitude. They are both assets as well. And finally Craig from maintenance was helpful, timely and energetic in addressing some maintenance issues in our room. Overall, the staff they have amassed here makes it a step above many other Hamptons we have visited. The breakfast is always well-prepared and sufficiently stocked for the number of guests. Rooms are clean and include a small fridge. There’s a new Chipotle right next door (it used to be a taco place) and a Walmart within walking distance. Overall, we enjoy our stays here and appreciate the effort everyone goes to in making it a pleasant stay.
